Kenya Hosts Cybersecurity Training for African Internet Experts
Kenya has hosted a training programme for internet security experts from across Africa, in a move aimed at strengthening the continent’s capacity to deal with cyber threats, according to Citizen Digital.

The country hosts the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), which regulates the ICT sector, and the Kenya Computer Incident Response Team (KE-CIRT/CC), which coordinates the country’s response to cyber incidents and works with regional and international partners.
Cybersecurity has become an increasingly prominent concern across Africa as internet penetration deepens and more government services, financial transactions, and personal data move online. The African Union has long identified cyber resilience as a continental priority, and the AU Convention on Cyber Security and Personal Data Protection, adopted in 2014, has been one of several efforts to push for harmonised approaches.
